Greek Coinages, KINGDOM OF THRACE, Lysimachos: Tetradrachm, struck at Amphipolis, c. 288-281

Obverse: head of the deified Alexander right, wearing horn of Ammon and royal diadem

Reverse: βασιλεωσ λυσιμαχου: Athena enthroned left, holding wreath-bearing Nike on outstretched palm, and leaning with left elbow on shield behind, spear resting beyond; monogram to inner left [ωνυ] and outer right [ηδτρ]

Metal: silver; Attic weight standard; 17.36g/11h

Condition: Good very fine, beautifully toned; a few peripheral scratches on the reverse £700-£900
