Obverse: head of the deified Alexander right, wearing horn of Ammon and royal diadem
Reverse: βασιλεωσ λυσιμαχου: Athena enthroned left, holding wreath-bearing Nike in outstretched palm, leaning with left elbow on shield behind, spear resting beyond; lion’s head and elephant in inner left field, monogram [θε] on chair
Metal: gold; Attic weight standard; 8.55g/5h

Condition: A few trifling surface marks, otherwise extremely fine and excessively rare, being one of two known specimens; a beautiful coin of considerable historical significance £15,000-£20,000
