Albert William Treadwell was born in Motherwell, Lanarkshire on 29 April 1887. A Fitter & Turner by occupation, he entered the Royal Navy on 16 October 1909. During the Great War he served on Phoenix, June 1914-May 1916; Pigeon, May 1916; Verulam, November 1917-January 1918; Curacoa, March 1918-February 1919. Attaining the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in January 1924, he died on 13 January 1927 while serving on Woodcock - a court of enquiry was subsequently convened. With copied service paper.

Frederick James Venables was born in Birmingham on 21 September 1884. A Boilermaker by occupation, he entered the Royal Navy in July 1906. During the Great War he served at Dryad (Portsmouth), November 1912-October 1917, later on Minerva, November 1917-April 1919. Awarded the Royal Navy L.S. & G.C. in 1921 when on Cardiff. Venables died on 28 November 1943 while serving at Dolphin. He was buried in the Portsmouth (Milton) Cemetery.
