Arthur Cruikshank Flockton was born in Weybridge, Surrey on 5 June 1846. He entered the Royal Navy as an Acting Engine Room Artificer on 20 August 1873. Served on Philomel, September 1873-September 1877, attaining the rank of E.R.A. in October 1875. Served on Tourmaline, September 1880-April 1883, for which he was awarded the Egypt Medal 1882. Transferred ashore by Admiralty Order, 2 June 1887. With copied service paper.
