William Beesley was born in Liverpool on 12 August 1847. Entering the Royal Navy in August 1874, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in February 1886. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1884 when on the guard ship Indus. Beesley was shore pensioned in November 1894 and died in Salford on 23 January 1934. With copied service paper.
