William Jamesw Crossley was born in Halifax, Yorkshire on 1 Januaery 1860. Entering the Royal Navy in March 1883, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class in January 1902. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1893 and pensioned in April 1908. With copied service paper.
