Private R. Pearson, East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry, entered the Egypt theatre of war on 10 November 1915. Discharged to a commission on 24 January 1917. Appointed a Lieutenant with the 5th (Cyclist) Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment on 25 July 1918. Listed as in the employ of the Colonial Office in the 1918 Army List.
