Frederick Henry James was born in Kilburn, lived in Lewisham and enlisted at Blackheath. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 19 August 1915. He died of wounds on 3 April 1918. James was buried in the Doullens Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France. He was the son of James James of 62 Brookbank Road, Lewisham, London. Sold with forwarding slips for the British War and Victory Medals and Memorial Plaque; also with copied m.i.c. and newspaper extract.
