Arnold Henry Parnell Errington was born on 22 June 1885, and educated at Haileybury College. On the outbreak of the Great War he was residing in British Colombia, Canada, but returned from there to join the Yorkshire Light Infantry. He had been in France and Flanders just ten days, before he was killed in action on 30 November 1914, whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Yorkshire Light Infantry. His name is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium.
