Percy William Bridle, who was born at Winsham, Chard, Somerset and enlisted in the 2nd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment at Pontypool, was first embarked for active service in early November 1914. Sometime thereafter taken P.O.W., he died in captivity in Germany on 20 May 1918, aged 27 years and is buried in the Berlin South-Western Cemetery, Brandenburg.
