Three: Sergeant W. Fleetwood, Royal Marine Artillery

Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Alexandria 11th July (Cpl., R.M.A., H.M.S. Alexandra); Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Corpl. L. Co. R.M.A.), impressed naming; Khedive’s Star, 1882, unnamed, slight contact marks and edge bruising, about very fine (3) £260-300

William Fleetwood was born in Liverpool in November 1857 and enlisted into the R.M.A. on 18 November 1875. He served on the Alexandra, March 1879-January 1883, seeing service at the bombardment of Alexandria. He was promoted to Corporal in April 1881. Fleetwood served on the Woodlark, February 1884-March 1887, being promoted to Sergeant in December 1885. He continued to serve until 1896. Sold with copied service paper.
