Henry Marshall was born in Inverkeithing, Fifeshire and enlisted at Barry, Forfarshire. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Highlanders (Black Watch), he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 12 October 1914. Probably wounded in action around Festubert in early December, Private Marshall died of wounds on 5 December 1914, aged 24 years. He was buried in the Wimereux Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of William and Jemima Marshall of Inverkeithing, Fifeshire. Entitled to clasp. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
