Harold Pennell was born in Fulstow, Lincolnshire, lived at Grainthorpe and enlisted at Louth. Serving with No. 2 Section, 119th Company Machine Gun Corps, he was killed in action in an attack on Bourlon Wood, 23 November 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial. With copied war diary extracts.
