Arthur Charles Barnett was born in Haywards Heath, Sussex, lived in Burgess Hill, Sussex and enlisted at Brighton. Serving with the 1st Battalion Wiltshire Regiment he was killed in action on 27 May 1918, aged 19 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France. He was the son of Alfred Barnett of 17 Wolseley Road, Portslade, Brighton.
