Roman Empire, Roman Empire, Philip I, Æ, laureate and draped bust left, rev. Marsyas with wineskin before Tyche seated left on rocks, ram above, lighted altar between four tutelary deities wearing mural crowns and offering tribute with extended arms towards Tyche below, 15.93g/12h (cf. SNG München 1024 rev.; cf. de Saulcy p.46, 1 rev.). Very fine, reddish green patina; unpublished in the standard references (£200-250)
