Patrick Delaney was born in and enlisted at Dublin, Ireland. Serving as a Drummer with the 1st Battalion Cameron Highlanders, he entered the France / Flanders theatre of war on 14 August 1914. He was killed in action on 2 November 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
