Color-Sergeant Edward Fraser transferred to the Indian Army on 6 June 1860. He joined the East Indian Volunteer Rifle Corps on 1 March 1889, as Lieutenant, and was promoted to Captain on 10 June 1898. He was awarded the Volunteer Officers’ Decoration on 17 February 1899 and retired shortly afterwards.
