William John Ellis was born in Fisherton, lived in Bristol and enlisted at Devizes. Serving in the 2nd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was a prisoner-of-war at Gottingen and died in Germany on 10 November 1918 and was buried in the Niederzwehren Cemetery, Cassel. He was the son of James and Emily Ellis, of 240 Bath Road, Bristol.
Robert James Wheeler was born and lived in Bromham, Wiltshire and enlisted at Devizes. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was a prisoner-of-war at Gottingen and died in Germany, on 3 December 1918, aged 28 years. He was buried in the Niederzwehren Cemetery, Cassel. He was the son of James and Verona Wheeler, of Horsepool, Bromham, Wiltshire.
William Henry Fisher was born and lived in Iwerne Minster, Dorset and enlisted at Devizes. Serving with the 5th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he died of fever in Mesopotamia, on 9 August 1916, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Amara War Cemetery, Iraq.
Sidney Ernest Green was born in Southwick, Wiltshire, lived in Trowbridge and enlisted at Mountain Ash, Glamorgan. Serving with the 7th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was wounded in Salonika and died of dysentery following wounds on 23 November 1916, aged 24 years. He was buried in the Anfield Cemetery, Liverpool and is commemorated at the Trowbridge Town War Memorial and in the Trinity Church War Memorial, Trowbridge. He was the son of Alice L. Northeast (formerly Green) and the late Ernest Green, of 15 Gladstone Road, Trowbridge. All with copied casualty details.
