Private John Richard Burridge, 3rd Hussars, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 23 May 1915. When serving with the 1/5th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 4 October 1917, aged 23 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. He was the son of John F. and Emily Burridge, of 26 Norfolk Road, East Ham, London.
