Oxford mint, Halfcrown, 1643, mm. rosette on obv. only, Briot horseman, lumpy ground below, Oxford plume behind, rev. Declaration, large central plume flanked by two Oxford plumes above, date and ox between rosettes below, rosette stops, 14.32g/7h (Bull 607/29; Morr. J-29; SCBI Brooker 901, same dies; N 2420; S 2964). A little weak in centres, otherwise very fine or better, attractively toned £600-800
