Charles Henry Watkins was born in Derby on 27 June 1867. He served in the ranks for 15 tears 17 days and became Regimental Sergeant Major of the 1st Gordons on 14 May 1902, and retired in February 1910. He was also awarded the Coronation Medal in 1902. Sold with several copy group photographs and copy discharge papers.
