Cecil Hardy Barker served in India from August 1914, including operations against the Mohmands and Swatis near Hafiz Kor, September-October 1915. He served in France from March 1916 until November 1918 (wounded). Returned to India and commanded 3 Mountain Battery in the North West Frontier operations 1919. Retired in 1927 due to-ill health contracted on active service.
