Charles Richardson was born in March 1828, in the parish of Mageramisk, near Moira, Co. Down. Served in the Crimea with “A” Field Battery at the Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann and Sebastopol. He was awarded the L.S. & G.C. medal together with a Gratuity of £5, and was discharged in November 1869.
