R.S.P.C.A., illuminated certificate to Herbert Jones 'for his courage and humanity in rescuing a cat from the roof of a house in Smallbrook Street, Birmingham, on 21 Autust 1935; GLOUCESTERSHIRE SPECIAL CONSTABULARY, 'Award for Gallantry' certificate 'Presented to Special Constable J. Preest for Gallant Conduct on the occasion of the rescue of a dog which had fallen down an un-used mine shaft in the Forest of Dene, October 1940. This work was successfully accomplished, at considerable risk.' (2)
