Military General Service 1793-1814, 3 clasps, Sahagun & Benevente, Orthes, Toulouse (James Dennett, 7th Light Dragoons); Waterloo 1815 (James Dennett, 7th Regiment Hussars) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, contact marks and edge bruising from wear, otherwise generally very fine (2) £1600-1800

James Dennett was born at Kirton, Suffolk, and enlisted for the 7th Hussars at Ipswich on 22 July 1805, aged 18. He served in the campaigns of 1808-09 and 1813-14, and was at the battle of Waterloo. He was discharged at Brighton on 4 August 1827, ‘being quite worn out from length of service.’
