The mounted group of six worn by Baron Hardinge of Penshurst, K.G., P.C., G.C.B., G.C.S.I., G.C.M.G., G.C.I.E., G.C.V.O., I.S.O., Viceroy of India

Imperial Service Order, E.VII.R., silver, gold and enamels; Jubilee 1897, silver; Coronation 1902, silver; Delhi Durbar 1911, gold; Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937, all on contemporary ‘Court’ mounting as worn, and sold with his original full dress sash of the Order of the Garter, this a little frayed and faded in parts, otherwise extremely fine £2000-2500

Hardinge was created a Companion of the Imperial Service Order on 29 June 1906; and a Knight of the Garter upon his retirement as Viceroy of India in 1916. The Garter insignia was returned upon his death. Sold with copies of the warrant for the I.S.O. and award certificate for the 1902 Coronation medal.
