Sold with verification for all clasps excepting that for ‘S. Nigeria’.

The Aro 1901-02 operations involved considerable fighting, most of it in thick bush country, casualties amounting to 13 Europeans wounded and 27 native troops killed and 140 wounded, whilst a further 70 died of disease. Subsequent Honours and Awards included one C.M.G., 11 D.S.Os and six D.C.Ms.
