1st Aberdeenshire Rifle Volunteers, an extremely rare other ranks die-stamped white metal shako badge c1860, of near circular outline , a QVC over the full Arms of the City of Aberdeen, ‘Gules, three towers, triple towered within a double tressure counter flowered argent, supported by two leopards proper’; the Motto in an escroll, ‘Bon Accord’; the rim with panelled and thistle decoration, the original lugs sheared off but replaced contemporarily with correct brazed on lugs, excellent condition £175-225
