A Collection of Jacobite Medals

BIRTH OF PRINCE CHARLES, 1720, a silver medal by E.Hamerani from the same obv. die as previous, reverse figure of Providence holding the infant Prince, indicating to him the British Isles on a globe, 41mm (Woolf 38:1 [Sale, lot 109]; M.I. 452/60; E. 488). Skillfully removed from a collar mount [virtually no traces remain], brightly cleaned but extremely fine; with an interesting Jacobite pedigree (£120-150)
