James Kellerd, the son of Peter and Jane Kellerd of Argentina was born at St Giles, Edinburgh and enlisted at Edinburgh. He served in France and Flanders with the B.E.F. from 15 September 1914 and died of wounds on 29 April 1915 whilst serving with ‘B’ Squadron, 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys). He is buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
