France, Quatercentenary of the Libertes de St Tropez, 1958, a bronze medal by F. Brigaud, 16th century view of the port with galley ships in foreground, rev. boat on the waves, in which the upper part of a naked body can be seen, watched by a seated dog and a cock, 72mm (CGMP p.316). Tiny edge nicks, otherwise extremely fine, the reverse a delicate and enchanting study (£40-50)
