18th Century, Slough, William Till, Halfpenny, 1794, in brass, similar, edge plain, 8.45g/12h (DH 23). From lightly rusted dies, extremely fine and toned, of the highest rarity; believed the only known specimen in this metal and not recorded in the standard reference (£150-250)

The only other known Till halfpenny in brass is a specimen of DH 21 (also not recorded in the standard reference), which was sold by Seaby to Patrick Deane for £17 in the summer of 1976; its present location is unknown
