Edward Pelton, appointed Temporary Engineer Sub-Lieutenant, 8 August 1916 (London Gazette 22 August 1916) and Temporary Engineer Lieutenant, 10 September 1917 (London Gazette 18 September 1917). Served aboard H.M.S. Lingfield during the Zeebrugge Raid. With copied gazette extracts and service notes.
John Read was born in Chester. He enlisted in to the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 2 June 1915 and was advanced to Stoker 1st Class later the same month. Served on the destroyer leader H.M.S. Lightfoot, May 1917-June 1918, seeing service in the Zebrugge Raid, April 1918. Demobilized in March 1919. With copied service paper.
