George Bould was born in the Parish of Dewsbury, Yorkshire, and was enlisted into the 28th Foot in 1786, at the age of 18 years. After 26 years service in the 28th, he was transferred to the 13th Regiment of Veterans in March 1813 and subsequently to the 7th Regiment of Veterans, being finally discharged on 2 May 1816 in consequence of ‘being worn out and gunshot wound in the head’. Sold with copied discharge papers.
