The South Cork Militia Officer’s Shako Plate 1855 Pattern, a very fine example in silver plate, the crowned star pattern back plate with circular mount ‘South Cork Militia’, in the centre on a domed background the VR cypher and a shamrock spray, complete with two loop fasteners, the bottom star point officially shortened for use on the 1861 pattern shako, very fine condition £500-700
