Charles I (1625-1649), Shrewsbury mint, Halfcrown, 1642, Aberystwyth horseman, Aberystwyth plume in field behind, group of six pellets before legend, rev. Declaration in two lines, three Shrewsbury plumes above, date below, pellet (?) before legend, 14.65g/2h (Bull 584/4a [S4-D6-2c]; Morr. B-4; cf. SCBI Brooker 814; N 2372; S 2928). Slightly weak on horse, otherwise nearly very fine or better, extremely rare £800-£1,000
