Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint (under Parliament), Crown, Gp V, type 5, mm. sun, tall spirited horse, 29.57g/12h (FRC dies XXVI/– [Sale, lot 101]; N 2199; S 2762; cf. DNW 107, 293). Well-centred on a spread flan, fine with a few surface marks, reverse better, the reverse die very rare £600-£800
