Henry VIII (1509-1547), Third coinage, Groat, Canterbury, no mm., bust 2, Roman letters, reads fran z hib rex, h with annulet in central cross-bar, reversed d for cs, open forks, spur from shield to inner circle in fourth quarter, trefoil stops, 2.53g/10h (Laker D; Whitton (a); N 1847; S 2373). Spot to left of crown and some striking weakness, otherwise very fine with a good portrait £240-£300
