M.B.E. London Gazette 1 July 1958:
‘In recognition of distinguished service in Malaya.’
Terence Linthwaite served in the Royal Air Force during the Second War, and advanced from Pilot Officer to Flying Officer in the Technical Branch in October 1944. He was promoted Flight Lieutenant, 20 October 1947, and to Squadron Leader 1 January 1962.
