Light spotting on reverse, otherwise brilliant and virtually as struck, of the highest rarity, most attractive; perhaps only two others known [Bliss, lot 882 and Cokayne I, lot 3299] £400-£600

This provenance was given, in error, to the slightly inferior coin sold in these rooms, 3 October 2018, lot 3299: that coin was in reality bought by Cokayne from Spink in July 1904
