Cameron Tom Tossell was the son of a farmer, and born in Clevedon, Somerset, in September 1900. His family lived at Castle Farm, Clevedon. Tossell joined the Royal Air Force as a Cadet (Flying) in August 1918, and remustered as a General Clerk in August of the following year. He was posted to 63 Squadron in Iraq, September 1919, and subsequently served with 30 Squadron also based in Iraq.
Tossell was discharged in March 1923, and later resided in Yorkshire. He died in Scunthorpe in 1978.
