Charles I (1625-1649), Salopia (Shrewsbury) mint, Halfcrown, mm. small lis on obv. only, tall horseman left, sword and crown breaking inner circle, nothing below, rev. crowned garnished oval shield, florent concordia regna, 14.82g/11h (Bull 676/50; Allen J-50; SCBI Brooker –; N 2607; S 3126). Good very fine and toned, extremely rare £6,000-£8,000

Salopia mint. SCBI Brooker 1165A. Ignore references to Marsham and Montagu collections in catalogue, that coin passed to Brooker via Murdoch, Brand and Lockett
