L’Arc en Ciel, the aeroplane designed by René Couzinet (1904-56) especially to instigate a service from Paris to Buenos Aires, made its inaugural flight on 12 January 1933, piloted by Jean Mermoz. The journey of 13,045km took just under 58 hours. Sold with further background information
