Thomas Munt was posted missing on 20 December 1854 (London Gazette 9 January 1855 refers). The medal rolls for both Alma and Inkermann state ‘Prisoner of War’. He died as a prisoner of war and was ‘struck off’ the Pay List on 21 February 1855.
