Charles I (1625-1649), Shrewsbury mint, Halfcrown, 1642, mm. two pellets on obv. only, Shrewsbury horseman, ground line below, Shrewsbury plume in field, three plumes above Declaration, date below, single pellet at start of legend, 14.79g/1h (Bull 586/4e (S5-D6-1f); Morr. D-4; SCBI Brooker 819-23, same obv. die; N 2377; S 2933). Struck on a large full flan, better than very fine with old cabinet tone, very rare £3,000-£4,000
