A Second War Panzer Officer’s Cap. A mid war period constructed Panzer officers visor cap constructed in enlisted ranks quality cloth. The pink piping only retains its original colour in the area protected at the rear of the cap, the remainder of the waffenfarbe has either faded or washed out to virtual white. Fitted with a matched set of bullion wire eagle and national cockade, standard wire cap cockades with twin side buttons. Some light oxidisation to the insignia. No moth damage anywhere. Its mid war brown leather sweatband has one split. The upper inner imitation silk lining all intact, evidence of wear use, centre celluloid lozenge missing, peak slightly loose from the main body, good condition £240-£280
