An Anglo Saxon coin brooch of Edward the Confessor, 1042-1066, pointed helmet type, Obv. bearded bust holding a sceptre, rev. voided short cross terminating in three crescents, ULFCITEL ON EOFR (York) S 1179, pierced four times to attach the hinge (intact) and catch plate (missing) to the obverse. £150-£180
