The Devonshire and Dorset Regiment (an amalgamation of the Devonshire Regiment and the Dorsetshire Regiment) and the Light Infantry (an amalgamation of the Somerset Light Infantry, the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry, and the Durham Light Infantry) now forms part of the Rifles (alongside the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire, and Wiltshire Regiment, and the Royal Green Jackets).
