An Officer’s 1797 Pattern Gorget, Militia, Volunteer Infantry.
A fine quality example in silver coloured metal correctly constructed on a wire frame, the central area engraved with the crown over ‘GR’ and attendant sprays of laurel. Complete with black silk rosettes and long ribbons, these for securing the gorget with a knot at the back of the collar, very fine condition £500-£700
