Frederick Faulkner Cross attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and served with the 7th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 21 September 1915. He died of pneumonia in Salonika on 7 December 1918, whilst serving with the 8th Battalion, and is buried in Sofia War Cemetery, Bulgaria.

Herbert Scarsbrook was born at Stanton St. John, Oxfordshire, in 1890 and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Oxford. He served with the 7th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 18 September 1915, and then in Salonika, and was killed in action in Salonika on 25 April 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial, Greece.
